Disney California Adventure hasn’t opened yet under the Disney’s COVID-19 recuperation plans, but Disney has gotten ahead of the Fall events calendar by officially cancelling the Oogie Boogie Bash

The cancelled Halloween festivities join not only the cancelled Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Disney World in Florida and the Eat to the Beat Concerts during Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival, but also the recently cancelled Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios on the not-happening-this-year list.

Over at Tokyo Disney and Tokyo DisneySea, the majority of their seasonal celebrations have already been shuttered, including Disney Pirates SummerDisney HalloweenDisney Christmas, and the New Year’s program, reaching all the way into 2021 as well, with the Beauty and the Beast program (January) and Disney Easter (March) cancelled.

The Oogie Boogie Bash, a separate ticket event, was a popular new party at California Adventure, debuting last year after having been rethemed from earlier Mickey’s Halloween parties at Disneyland. It featured interactive villains on the trick-or-treat trails with unlimited candy, rare character Meet and Greets, Villains Grove filled with scenes with holiday lights and projections, limited edition party snacks, a DescenDANCE Party, a Frightfully Fun Parade, Mickey’s Trick or Treat Show, and “Villainous!”, a special seasonal performance of “World of Color.”
