There are going to be a lot of happy brides, honeymooners, and first-time Disney World guests after April 8. That’s when Disney World’s amended mask policy goes into effect.
Until now, Disney guests had to keep their masks on for all their photos in Disney World. This week, Disney will relax that policy slightly by allowing guests to temporarily remove masks while actively taking outdoor photos. Masks must remain on for ride photos and all indoor photos.
Face coverings/masks are required for theme park entry for all guests ages 2 and over, including guests who have received their COVID-19 vaccines.
Disney advises, “Please bring your own face coverings and wear them at all times, except when dining or swimming. You may temporarily remove your face covering while actively eating, drinking or taking an outdoor photo, but you must be stationary and maintain appropriate physical distancing during this time.”
Disney’s specific requirements for face masks may be found on their “Know Before You Go” page. The new “outdoor masks provision” takes effect April 8, 2021.
