Don’t ditch the Mickey logo masks just yet. While Disney is among the businesses, grocery stores and Florida theme parks making adjustments to their mask policies, you’ll still need them at varying times throughout the day.

Following the new guidelines released by the Center for Disease Control on Thursday, Disney announced that they will no longer require masks in outdoor venues or on pool decks. However, those masks will still be needed (for all guests ages 2 and up) in indoor locations such as entering and throughout all attractions, in all theaters including theater entrances, and on all transportation, including transportation entrances. You’ll also need them indoors at restaurants, except when actively eating and drinking while stationary. Keep them handy for when you want to pop into one of the indoor shops as well.

Disney also eliminated temperature taking on the way into the parks, ahead of their already scheduled conclusion for entrance temperatures.

As of this writing, Disneyland in California is still requiring face masks at all times, except while eating and drinking while seated.

It may be a baby step forward, but with Florida’s sweltering summer temperatures on the way, we’ll take it!
