The Eagle has landed…. Sam the Eagle, that is. Muppets fans are rejoicing, as Disney has released a brand new Sam the Eagle sipper at Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue in EPCOT’s World Showcase.

Regal Eagle is a quick serve restaurant in the American Adventure Pavilion, celebrating the various regions of American barbecue, as well as offering a selection of craft beers and ciders both inside the restaurant, and outside on the pavilion near the venue’s signature smoker.

But what endears the place to Muppets fans is the eatery’s theming.  Sam the Eagle is the master of ceremonies at the establishment, hosting “Sam’s Centennial Cook-Off: A Salute to All Cook-Offs But Mostly Barbecue.”  Billed as “an annual event,” it’s a “competition fit for patriots and pit masters.” The room décor is colonial America cute, with subtle nods to the Muppets sprinkled throughout, under the red, white and blue bunting that is a tip of the cap to Sam’s salute to America.

The new, 8-inch tall sky blue sipper in Sam’s signature color, with his bushy black eyebrows, is $16.29 (plus tax).  Sam is posed with a feathered wing over his patriotic little heart. He comes with your choice of Coca-Cola products. We were even able to get a Dasani bottled water with our sipper instead of soda. Regal Eagle has a self-serve soda kiosk, so you’ll be able to select your own beverage flavor (or mix of flavors, as some diners were creating!) from among the Coca-Cola products available.

Regal Eagle dishes up some tasty foods as well, such as the North Carolina Chopped Smoked Pork Butt Platter ($12.99); the Sliced Texas Beef Brisket Sandwich ($13.99); or the Memphis Dry-rub Pork Ribs ($16.29). They are all available with your choice of different self-serve BBQ sauces. There are also salads ($9.79 and $11.79), macaroni and cheese ($4.99),  and melon ($4.99) side dishes, if you are looking for something a little healthier, or even a few sweet treats, like the banana pudding ($5.29) or a S’mores brownie ($5.29).
