One of the great things about EPCOT festivals is strolling up to the food booths spur of the moment, and often discovering some excellent cuisine.

Of course, that’s the case at the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, with Outdoor Kitchens open daily from March 1 through July 5, 2023.

A couple of weeks ago, I stopped at the EPCOT Farmers Feast booth, and tried the Chargrilled Bison Ribeye with leek fondue, red wine butter sauce and whipped red wine goat cheese. It was delicious. The bison was tender, seasoned nicely, and grilled well. The sauce and fondue were smooth, but not strong, and my skepticism of the red wine goat cheese disappeared with the first taste. But make no mistake, this is all about the bison.

This bison dish is on the booth’s early menu running through April 8, but then it goes away. So, if you’re at EPCOT over the next few days, get the bison!

On the same night, I went from the farm to the sea, trying the Orange Sesame Tempura Shrimp with orange chile sauce at The Citrus Blossom booth. The shrimp was tender and fresh, the coating crispy, and the sauce was a fascinating twist of sweet and a spicey kick.

It turned out to be a great evening of strolling and eating at an EPCOT festival.
