Pixar Celebrating “Cars Week” and Daytona 500 with New Vehicles

The green flag to start the Daytona 500 will drop on Sunday, February 14, and leading up to then Disney and Pixar are celebrating “Cars Week.”

A key part of that celebration is the debut of NASCAR-inspired Cars die-cast vehicles.

 

According to statements from Disney and NASCAR, Mattel’s line up of new vehicles will feature Cars characters like Lightning McQueen, Jackson Storm, Mater, Luigi and Guido.

 

For good measure, NASCAR noted, “Several of NASCAR’s top drivers will be featured in a new line of Cars die-casts. The first ones available will include 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion Chase Elliott, Austin Dillon and William Byron. The rest of the line is slated to include Ryan Blaney, Joey Logano, Daniel Suarez, Aric Almirola and Kyle Busch.”

 

Each die-cast vehicle will be available from Wal-Mart at $4.99 each, and of course, all three Cars movies can be seen on Disney+.

 

Catch the Daytona 500, or The Great American Race, on FOX at 2:30 p.m. ET this coming Sunday.
