Craving Mac & Cheese at Disney Springs

I assume that, like me, you’ve had the periodic craving for mac & cheese. Who hasn’t, right? I mean, if not, well, that seems kinda un-American.

Anyway, sometimes that craving can come at unexpected moments, perhaps while at Walt Disney World. As it turns out, there are assorted spots that you can check in to meet that craving. For example, when Casey’s Corner reopens at the Magic Kingdom, I recommend either the Bacon Macaroni & Cheese Foot-long Hot Dog, or the Bacon Macaroni & Cheese Fries, or both! (Check out DisneyBizJournal’s take on Casey’s.)

When the need for mac & cheese hit at Disney Springs recently, fortunately, there was the Mac & Cheese Food Truck.

Since dinner reservations were in a couple of hours, while sorely tempted by the entire menu, restraint was in order. (A rarity!) So, this really was just a first step – let’s even say a first baby step – with the Mac & Cheese Food Truck.

The Lobster and Shrimp Mac & Cheese was the hardest thing to resist. But rest assured, there will be more visits to sample and review the menu more completely. For this occasion, the Mac & Cheese Fritters were ordered, and they didn’t disappoint.

A crunchy, deep fried coating encased mac & cheese featuring sturdy pasta and a smooth cheese sauce. It was finger food that fit for continuing to stroll around Disney Springs while eating, or just finding a bench by the water.

So, this first venture with the Mac & Cheese Food Truck at Disney Springs was a thumbs up. As for next time, my cravings might just involve the Lobster and Shrimp Mac & Cheese, the Six-Cheese Crunchy Mac & Cheese, and the Barbecued Beef Mac & Cheese. That’s right – all three. Hey, it’s a craving.
