Disney Now Says “No” to Taxpayer Subsidies

Journal recently wrote about the
controversies and challenges that tend to pop up when government subsidizes
private businesses, noting the example of hotel subsidies for Disney in Anaheim,
California. Now, as Bloomberg reports, Disney says it wants to end those tax
subsidy agreements.

As USA Today notes, Disney is about to take
applications for new members for the Disney Moms Panel. By the way, you don’t
have to a “mom” to make the team.
Trouble at Universal Orlando?
The Motley Fool
raises questions about decisions being made at Disney World’s competitor
Universal Orlando.
